Curious about the whole Stealing-the-Lead concept. Who out there does it, who doesn't?

This sounds like a Troupe Salamat concept. I took a workshop from them called "Who's on First?" where when you're turning in a move, the next dancer you see can change the arms, etc. There are some other fun concepts but I think posting on their tribe might be a start.

oooooohhhhhh, it's fun! keeps you on your toes (literally & figuratively!)
& keeps you engaged with your troupe sisters, and in the moment....

but, please...if you are going to "steal" the lead, do it with intent and be prepared! If you take the lead unprepared (or accidentally, because you forgot to turn, for example) it can look sloppy. Of course you want your dance partners to be on their toes and be ready for fun surprises, but the intent of ATS is not to trip up your troupemates. And IMHO, it's just poor form to steal the lead right after someone else has just taken it. so even if the song or the moment calls to you, please, be considerate.
