ATS FAQ

Okay, I'm saying this once again, since I've been getting membership requests for the FAQ tribe.

** The ATS FAQ tribe is a read-only tribe. Sandi and I are the only members, because I want it merely for your reference. **

And until Tribe gives us the option to moderate posting, it's going to remain this way, so please don't send me membership requests, and don't bitch at me about how it's too much effort for you to bookmark it. Believe me, if I open up membership, it's going to be a lot more work for me to keep the traffic down, than it is for you to bookmark it.

So just bookmark it, m'kay?

And if you have a question, the link to the FAQ is conveniently posted at the top of this tribe's description. If you don't find the answer to your question, search in this tribe, then post your question.

I'm sure we haven't collected all the discussions on each movement onto the FAQ yet, but we try to update it when we can.

    Thanks!

I'm sorry ladies, this is probably my fault for posting a link to a question in there.

I thought it was supposed to be a go-to reference for people to find answers to questions before asking the same fershlugginah question for the 12th time. It didn't occur to me that people would get upset when they found they couldn't join. :(

    My apologies. :-/

      oh, no worries, Val!

every time the link gets posted I get a spate of membership requests. sometimes people get cranky when I tell them they can't join.

I wish there were a way to join, but block posts! Because without joining, you can't see when there are updates. So I have to remember the URL, then go over and check periodically just in case...
Maybe you can post here when there are updates there?

But since the updates are links to posts here, for new stuff you can look here. I've been using the FAQ tribe as an easier-to-search resource when I am confused, rather than a regular must-read.

A completely volunteer effort on your part to benefit the ATS community.... and people get cranky? Hmph!! Shame on them! Thank you for all the work you put into helping us!! <3

I think the ATS FAQ is fantastic! I just wish there was more FAQ's posted, it hasn't been updated for months. And goodness knows we all have questions! %-)

Hey Shay! You may want to bookmark it if u want to know if there's updates on it! Solved my problem of having 5000 tribes. I've joined those that i want/need to keep up on and bookmarked those that i just want to keep abreast of or just like reading not really participating. Make sense? But yeah, I do feel the ATS FAQ tribe is more of a invaluable resource to refer to when needed. Thank goddess for it!

So, I just put up a new link on the FAQ, regarding makeup for dark skin, after getting a question, and searching through the archives.

                Sharrie and everybody else:

We get stumped thinking of subjects to post in the FAQ, so if you have questions, or would like to see links to a particular subject, post here, and I'll do my best to put up links in the FAQ.

And yes, Shay, if Tribe ever give an option to allow membership but block posting, then I'd start allowing membership in that tribe. As it is, I won't, because I know people wouldn't refrain from posting, and it would just make more work for me to keep deleting threads to make the information easier to find.

I have it bookmarked through my browser, which saves time over bookmarking it through Tribe.

You guys should totally put some of this stuff up on a web page. In fact, I should talk to you guys about that...I get these sick feeligns in the pit of my stomach sometimes thinking of all that would be lost if Tribe went away, and your efforts with the ATS resource is one. Would love to work with you to archive this stuff and give it a more reliable, permanent home. Will talk to you soon...

Thank you, help from you girls is very much appreciated. I posted a question about spins a little while back ......admittedly not on this tribe, but didn't really get any clarity. I will re-post in ATS tribe.
                  thanks

It's a quiet afternoon, so I thought I'd take a longer wander through FAQ. There is so much good stuff in there that I had to make popcorn. I'll be here for hours yet!
