double back with half turn

When FCBD or Devyani, does the double back with 1/2 turn, once you start the move doing half turns, does it continue without a cue each time you are facing front again? I was rewatching Volume 7FCBD and Megha did not address this specifically when she taught it but it looked as if once she started the move with the half turn she continued it without a cue(looking over her right shoulder)until she came back to front and did the move on both sides and changed to something else.. Is it like the Basic Egyptian with the half turn, in that once the leader starts the DB with HT, it continues, not needing a cue until the leader finishes . I hope this is somewhat clear! Thanks in advance for any help, it is a question that has come up in practice. Cindy

The half-turn must be cued each time, per my notes from GS.

Once the HT is cued and begun, all 8 cts must be completed. The HT is completed by continuing to the front to cue another move.

In the "drills" segment of the video, I think she just repeats the move w/o cueing for the sake of drilling the move.

    =-)

Is this move only done as two 1/2 turns, since it has to be cued every time, and the cue wouldn't be seen when the group is facing back? How do you continue going around?

Yes, two half turns. If you turn it once, you must turn it again (no cue needed) to face to the front. You could cue it again at this point and do the turns again, but it's kind of a long move so we usually only do the turns once.

If I remember correctly, when Megha was here for the GS cert, she said we should re-cue each time. I just went and took a relook at Vol7, and if you are looking at the part where she is drilling the move, yes, she isn't recueing.

Myself... I'd rather play it safe and recue so no one gets left behind. :)
