    <summary type="html">Well, I'm assuming that if your teacher is still learning the basics, she'll be learning the Egyptian and Shimmy soon, since those are two of our four basic fast movements.  Sounds like you've learned the Pivot Bump/Choo Choo and the Arabic so far, so its a matter of time before you get to Shimmy and Egyptian.  &#xD;

But if you want something to look at, here's a video that shows us doing lots of Shimmies and Egyptians.  Egyptians happen at 00:43 when Wendy and Amy are up and Shimmies happen at around 2:16 when Anita and I come out.&#xD;

    <summary type="html">Any traveling two-sided step, like the Arabic, Egyptian, Shimmy, all work for moving backward. You just wouldn't try to move something like the pivot bump backward. &#xD;

I forgot to specify -- we know "regular" traveling steps backwards from what we learned in Egyptian Cabaret classes, but I wasn't certain if there were specifc ATS style moves or combos out there.  (I want to make sure I stay "in form" and not start looking like an Egyptian Cabaret dancer that just threw in some ATS combos to her dance.)  Thank you! ^_^</summary>

    <summary type="html">I've been studying Egyptian Cabaret for a while, but am fairly new to ATS and its variations.  In class, we've learned moves in place and moves that go forward, but we haven't learned any moves to go backwards (other than simply scootching back while we do Arabic).  Can anyone recommend some tasty moves that will keep us from eating the studio mirror? ^_~  &#xD;

(Our teacher is learning ATS as she's trying to teach us, there was no one available in the area that we could find, so she's doing her best.)</summary>
