Sahra

I feel like I'm getting a different perspective on this move after seeing this video:
www.youtube.com/watch

At around 6:45, Wendy does the Sahra turn, and, although I heard the names of the actresses whose stances are being emulated in that move, I've seen on the instructional DVD as well as in person that there's an angle to the beginning of the move, it all didn't hit me as much as it did when I had seen it (or done it) otherwise. My guess is that it's a camera angle thing (that I notice so much more particularly the pronounced angling at the beginning of the move). Or, has something changed/has something in the move been tweaked?

Don't get me wrong, I like how it appeared to me before, but I love the way the move looks in this example. It seems to flow, and I get the attitude. (I've been a little slow in grasping the attitude/flow of the Sahra in the past, so this was a major a-ha for me.)

    I totally agree with you.
I've watched this clip a hundred times! I love Wendy's attitude. It's perfect for the move (well, it's Wendy, of course it's perfect).

But I'm wondering now, what is different? Is it just the angle of the camera-person? I don't think I've seen another Sahra look quite like that.
    Why?
    Does it seem different somehow?

I think it's that Wendy is angling differently than the other two; she doesn't bring her right hand over to the left hip as per normal, she leaves it at the right hip. I assume it's just a personal stylistic thing?
