I'm sorry if this has been covered before.... I did a search and couldn't find it...
Anyhoo, my question is about what happens in the chorus. If the center dancing group does a movement that has a military zill pattern, does the chorus then do the military as well? It seems to me that they would, but before covering it with my students I'd like to know for sure. :)
Thanks bunches!

Re: Military Zill Pattern & the Chorus?
Mon, October 19, 2009 - 1:02 PMYep, as a matter of fact, it was suggested in GS to practice all moves with the military zill pattern as it is possible the chorus could be leading any one of the moves and the center dancers feature a move that requires the military zill pattern. jms

Re: Military Zill Pattern moves
Sun, October 25, 2009 - 7:37 AMThose are the only two moves that are accompanied by the military zill pattern, at least that is what Megha had communicated at GS in Milwaukee two weeks ago. jms

Re: Military Zill Pattern moves
Sun, October 25, 2009 - 7:44 AMOh hi Joy, I see you there! :)
Here's a related question: if the chorus is doing one of these two moves, would the lead dancers also play military? (Or would the chorus never do those two moves?) -

Re: Military Zill Pattern moves
Mon, October 26, 2009 - 7:21 AMThe chorus would not do UUDDD or Double Back. However, the chorus might use the military zill pattern as an accent to the music, regardless of what move the featured dancers were using (for example, with Roah Albi or Fellahi).

Re: Military Zill Pattern moves
Mon, October 26, 2009 - 11:41 AMEven if the chorus did one of these moves, which isn't recommended, there's no way for the 'pod' to see the chorus. -
