Hi
This tribe has been really useful to me and for that I thank everyone out there. One more query for you. Pivot Arc - what are the rules? Does it have to follow bumps travelling forward?

Re: Pivot Arc
Mon, February 23, 2009 - 10:50 AMChoo choo with arc arms, I think. (Or is it Pivot Bump with Arc Arms? It just says "Arc Arms" in my GS schedule.)
My notes from GS say that yes, you have to choo choo forward first, then stop in place, and then do the arms and turn. -

Re: Pivot Arc
Mon, February 23, 2009 - 11:57 AMThere was another thread which touched on this someplace (I never remember where) that said yes you move forward unless of course you are in a space that won't allow you to move forward.

Re: Pivot Arc
Mon, February 23, 2009 - 1:31 PMSandi- what's the word on Arc Arms? I've been taught it as being up to the leader whether or not it moves forward, but I observed in a FCBD Performance Workshop that the dancers only did it moving forward. -

Re: Pivot Arc
Tue, February 24, 2009 - 3:22 AMSo far I've come across the names "Choochoo Arc", "Arc Turn" or "Pivot Arc" (with the alternative spelling "Arch" for "Arc") for the same move, but that it would be combined with a forward movement was new to me. I never noticed that before on any youtube clips ... I guess if I should make it to a GS someday (I definitely want to!) it will give me loads of lightbulb moments. ;-)
